Max Fifty intends to encourage people to enjoy a casual drink and a burger, in a moody space with decadent interiors.
The materials used in the space, like the wood and glass, were recycled from a previous restaurant the client used to have. In keeping with the industrial aesthetic, the facade of the previous restaurant was modified and given an "aged look" alluding to an old industrial factory. During the renovation, the ceilings and finishings were removed, to expose the building's structure, pipes, tubes, and cables to reinforce the decadent atmosphere.
The use of vegetation and oxidized metals were essential in striving for an aged-industrial style. To reinforce this concept, decorative elements such as blackboards, vintage filament light bulbs, and custom furniture with an industrial aesthetic, were added.
The setting is made up of attractive elements, vintage prints, and unique pieces from the ’70s and ’80s found in antique stores. Max Fifty's neutral color palette allows for strokes of color to be added using playful decorative elements.
