The project tries to cross-fertilize digital and conventional modes of making through a series of weaving exercises.

The first stages of the project were hands-on, exploring different weaving techniques,. Inspiration for the form & texture were drawn from traditional Ikebana baskets, organic materials, the act of twisting, weaving, and bending.

The second stage of the design process was achieved through photographic explorations and digital modeling tools. The object was then 3D printed and different versions were fabricated.

The final outcome is a manually and digitally woven surface that can be used as a module or applied on a wall.
